BCOP Virtual Discussion: “Gold Rush 2020” – Keynote Speakers from Aberdeen Standard Investments, Robert Minter, CFA, CMT, CAIA Commodity Strategist, and Stan Kiang, Director of Strategic Accounts
Please join us for our next Members-only virtual discussion via Zoom on August 27, 4:30 to 5:30 pm. We are pleased to welcome keynote speakers from Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI), Robert Minter, CFA, CMT, CAIA, Commodity Strategist, and Stan Kiang, Director of Strategic Accounts, to share their thoughts on Gold Rush 2020. Many investors are taking a closer look at gold in the face of the unique economic conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and government’s unprecedented fiscal and monetary policy response. Bob and Stan will discuss market fundamentals, trading sentiment, and compare the main tools available to investors for exposure to the asset.
Robert Minter, CFA, CMT, CAIA heads the Commodity asset class steering group which sets the commodity outlook for ASI internal active funds. He also manages two multi asset mutual funds. Mr Minter joined Aberdeen in 2006. Before joining Aberdeen, he worked at Vanguard, Fidelity and then Emerald Capital Group, where he assisted managing fixed income portfolios and monetized workout securities for insurance company portfolios. A member of the CFA Institute, CMT Association. and the CAIA Association, Mr Minter earned his B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University.
Stan Kiang is Director of Exchange Traded Funds for Aberdeen Standard Investments. Stan was previously a member of ETF Securities US (ETFS) and joined ASI following its acquisition in 2018. Stan gained a BA in Economics from St. Mary’s College and holds the series 7, 30, and 63 FINRA registrations.
